Today the extended preview of GTA VI finally launched and it has got me really excited for the game while also disappointed in one particular aspect.
I’d say in terms of graphics and gameplay, the game is looking amazing so far. The most impressive part is it was being shown off on a base PS5 so the Pro should look even better. I also love how full the streets are with cars, NPC’s and more which helps to make the game feel alive as it was always disappointing when Los Santos felt empty. The city itself looks amazing and detailed too with good variance between different areas.
Gameplay wise is I’d say it looks just like a GTA game which isn’t a bad thing, but not anything revolutionary which is where the disappointment comes in. This feels like a game that could have come out at a similar time to RDR2 if it wasn’t for GTA Online so I’m very happy I can finally play it soon, but also disappointed we had to wait this long just because of online.
I’ll also add that this preview got more excited than the actual preview as it shared many details into the mechanics which make the game sounds very exciting. I’ll pre order the game soon but hopefully we keep getting more details on it leading up to launch.
