My WWE NXT Deadline 2023 Predictions
I’m a bit late with this one but here’s my predications for tonight’s PLE which is sadly the last one for 2023.
NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Baron Corbin
Corbin hasn’t got any real big wins since moving to NXT so even though Ilja is a great talent, this could really help shake things up and even be a way to call up Ilja to the main roster. Ilja vs Gunther for the IC title at Royal Rumble would be great.
My Pick: Baron Corbin
Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match (Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Blair Davenport, Kelani Jordan and Fallon Henley)
I don’t think in this match there’s any clear favorite for me although if i have to pick one, it would probably be Tiffany Stratton. She’s the only former champ and they likely want to give her a rematch at the title so she’s my best bet as of right now.
My Pick: Tiffany Stratton
Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match (Dijak, Trick Williams, Josh Briggs, Bron Breakker and Tyler Bate)
To me this match will really come down to two people, Trick and Bron. The former is really getting over right now so he’s a pretty easy pick although you can’t discredit the skill of the latter. I personally feel Bron should have been on the main roster ages ago so I would personally rather see Trick get the win and we see what will happen between him and Trick following this.
My Pick: Trick Williams
NXT North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee
I’d say now that tv rights renewals are done we’ve seen a lot less crossover so I do think this will end soon. I wouldn’t mind Dragon Lee getting a win here, he’s taken a lot of losses recently to heels but this is a win that could help redeem him.
My Pick: Dragon Lee
Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James – Steel Cage Match
For this match I think they’re just trying to give more range to Roxanne and it’s another hurdle to make her look strong. I do find it strange how she got the title then everything fell of pretty quick after that so hopefully we can get back to that top spot soon.
My Pick: Roxanne Perez
Carmelo Hayes vs. Lexis King
This has one of the best stories so far as we don’t know if these two are actually working together or not. I can easily see Melo come out on top then Lexis King reveals the texts between them out of spite.
