My thoughts on Watch Dogs Legion

I got Watch Dogs Legion last Thursday and I’m about 75% through the main story of this game. I have mixed feelings about this game so far.

I’ve played all the games in the series with Watch Dogs 2 being my favorite. When it comes to this third game, I have mixed feelings. To me the whole ‘play as anyone’ seems like they were trying to one up GTA V’s 3 protagonists. It is something different but the missions to recruit the characters get repetitive quick.

I think if they had just made it maybe 10-15 playable characters there would be a decent amount of variety but they could have gone more into depth with each recruitment mission. I will give them credit for adding permadeath though. I had one character I really enjoyed playing as and without giving spoilers, he got killed and it really hit me!

Currently my plan is to just finish the story on this game then trade it in towards my PS5. I wasn’t overly excited for this game but I had some high hopes for it considering how much I enjoyed the previous game. I see quite a lot of positive responses about this game online which is great but if there is a 4th game, I hope they don’t keep this same format. They also need to fix the major bugs as my game is crashing all over the place.
