More Zoning Information
This developer insights video wasn’t as heavy on the details sadly but there are a few things I took away which are:
- Being able to right click to dezone will be a great help compared to CS1
- Zoning over existing zones rathern than demolishing and rezoning will save time
- Info tools tell you if an area is suitable for the type of zoning you want to build
- Mixed zoning has cheaper residential due to the shops at the bottom paying a larger portion of the rent
- There are 2-3 requirements to unlock a signature building
Nothing that groundbreaking but further improvements and refinements which I’m happy to see. Next week will be on City Services which I’m really excited about as we might get more info on how modular the buildings may be, along with info on the City Hall.
