KofiMania 2.0?

On Monday Night Raw this week we got to see more of this growing feud between Bobby Lashley, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre.

Now there was meant to be a match between Drew and Kofi to decide who will go forward to face Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell. Sadly it was interrupted by Lashley and M.V.P which resulted in a D.Q.

A rematch has been scheduled for this coming Monday and if Bobby interferes again, he’ll face a kayfabe 3 month suspension without pay. Now don’t get me wrong I’m really happy that Kofi is once again in the title picture but like others, you may be questioning why. Here’s a possible reason why Kofi may be back in the title picture.

I read a rumor not long ago that WWE was concerned about the lack of upper card talent. Orton is in the tag division now with Riddle, same goes for A.J Styles. Keith Lee appears to be out due to a medical issue still and although not confirmed, it does seem like Strowman is injured after Backlash too.

When it comes to skill, Kofi definitely fits the bill and honestly never should have left the title picture. After his loss to Lesnar he just went back to the tag division and not even get a rematch for the World Title. Now that they need more talent in the upper card, it may be Kofi’s chance to shine again.

When it comes to Hell in a Cell, I personally think Kofi should not only be the one in the match but should also go over. Now Drew and Bobby are also two of my favorites but I feel Kofi needs it more. Both men have been on fire the past year but Kofi needs redemption for how he lost the title. Hell if The Miz can win the World Title again then Kofi winning should be an easy choice for the writers.
