District Services Control Will Be Amazing

We got the second entry for the developer insights series which focuses on Traffic AI but they revealed something even more interesting.

During the video they go into district control and how you can assign city services to particular districts only. You could say for example, assign a police station to a single district or assign it to multiple districts.

This had been hinted at before but now it’s confirmed which is really good to see and will really help when it comes to creating high or low wealth areas.

I imagine I’ll be placing a large police station to cover a small district to ensure the Cims are happy whereas for my lower income areas, I’ll likely have a small police station cover multiple large districts.

When mods are released for the game and we can really customize housing along with this and make buildings historical, it will be a whole new level of realism that CS1 could never achieve.
