A Better Look at Climate & Seasons in Cities: Skylines II
Another week and we have another feature highlight for Cities: Skylines II which is focused on Climate and Seasons.
Rather than something long winded I thought I’d give a quick summary over things I noticed.
- Tornados look insane in a good way
- Every 24 hours in game is a month so seasons are fairly quick
- Biffa said the length is good and doesn’t feel rushed
- Weather can effect the economy
- Climate is based on latitude and longitude
- If you were in a polar area you have short summers and long winters
- 1 real hour is 24 hours in game
- Activities are based on weather so in storms/winter Sims may be less active
- It appears you can’t disable day night cycle or seasons
- Hail storms look great
- Parked cars can be seen covered in snow
- Maps are inspired by real world locations
- Structures can be damaged by bad weather
- If you hover over icons it will explain what the issue is
Next week will be about Economy & Production which I’m expecting to be more full of info.
