A Possible Injury and a New Champ

Although very inconsistent I thought I’d go over some of my personal highlights from the February 28th episode of Monday Night Raw.

A Surprising Push

I may be wrong but I believe this is Tommaso Ciampa’s second match on Raw and first single win.

Like most I was skeptical of how he’d be used on the main roster considering that even the likes of Keith Lee and Karrion Kross were booked poorly. Despite this they have been using him quite well so far and he’s been booked to look quite strong.

I think one of the most important things is that he’s been getting a good crowd reaction, doing amazing in the ring and really feels like he belongs among the rest of the main roster.

Now let’s just hope this continues and he doesn’t follow the same fate as the other black and gold era of NXT stars.

Try Your Best Not To Laugh

Last week there was a spot where Tamina caught Tozawa and made a kissy face only for her to drop him on the floor.

Tonight Tozawa finally got his kiss and it was such a funny spot. After the kiss we seen Tamina just walk off and Tozawa standing there all stunned like the picture above.

The 24/7 title chase has got quite stale but this was really good and still has me laughing.

A Possible Injury

We seen The Street Profits vs R-K-Bro and at the end of the match we seen Montez Ford hit his usual frog splash but when he landed something seemed off.

The ref, Orton, Riddle and The Street Profits all seem genuinely confused and concerned with Orton continuing to lay there. Wrestling Inc provided this update based on a tweet by Montez Ford.

Hopefully this means Orton isn’t injured and it was all just a scare. I would say this definitely wasn’t the planned finish and Orton was likely meant to get his leg on the ropes.

I’ll be interested to see if this mean The Street Profits could get another title run soon or if they’ll replace R-K-Bro next week.

A Title Change!?!

One of the most surprising parts of Raw was we seen Finn Balor defeat Damian Priest for the U.S Title.

When Pries hit the main roster he has so much momentum but in the last few months things haven’t been going as well for him. I personally thought he’d be keeping the title until WrestleMania then drop it to someone like Austin Theory.

Regardless having a title change this close to Mania was definitely unexpected and it will be interesting who Finn will defend it against at the show of shows.

Edge Vs Styles

We now have an official match of Edge Vs A.J Styles for WrestleMania! Both Edge and Styles have said in interviews that they were interested in working with each other.

Last week on Raw Edge also made hints to Cody Rhodes but I guess WWE have something different planned for his debut.

WWE honestly could have just done a face vs face match for Mania but they always have to go with heel vs face so looks like Edge will be fighting as a heel for the second year in a row.

How Can They Not Win?

When you look at the Raw tag title picture we have some pretty competitive teams. R-K-Bro have been really over for some time now and Alpha Academy are doing some of their best work too.

What’s undeniable is the chemistry between Rollins and KO. These two work so well together and the ending of the match showed why they are seriously an unstoppable force.

Being a triple threat match you can see them possibly losing by not being involved in the decision but skill wise, these guys really should go over.

That’s It!
