A Big Week in Wrestling!

All I can say is it has been a real interesting week in the world of wrestling. We’ve seen so much interesting things happen so I’m not sure where to even start. I think the biggest and most exciting part for me is the return of the one you can’t see!

The Champ is Here!!!

John Cena has finally returned to WWE and you can really tell the crowd missed him. I got so used to hearing “John Cena Sucksss” at the start of his entrance theme but when he returned at MITB you could hear nothing but cheers. I’m pretty sure every single person in that arena went crazy and he had the biggest pop of the night.

He still knows how to work a crowd well and it was honestly amazing to see him on our screens again. I wish he was back permanently and I’m sure WWE wish he was too ratings wise. I personally want to see him win at SummerSlam and become the first ever 17 time champ but who knows how likely that will be.

Back to Crowds

On last weeks Friday Night SmackDown we seen crowds return. Now I started watching again during Covid when they had NXT superstars as their crowd in the PC and got quite used to that format. In all honesty seeing the Thunderdome didn’t really bother me but now that crowds are back, I admit it’s so much better.

We also got to see Finn Balor return to the main roster which was really good to see. This guy is so good to watch and has so much potential. I’m hoping it won’t be long until we see him in the Universal Title picture.

Mr MITB

I haven’t been very active on this blog but over on Twitter I was very vocal that I wanted Big E to win MITB. I was also hoping for someone like Keith Lee to return at MITB and win but that didn’t happen. On the prior SmackDown, I figured when Big E took the L that it was likely he’d win at the PPV and thankfully that did happen.

When it comes to how I’d like to see him cash in, this is how. During SummerSlam Cena is the one to finally beat Roman Reigns and become the first ever 17 time world champ. Now Cena is really tired from the match and Reigns and the Uso’s beat down Cena but Big E comes out to save Cena and does, then cashes in and wins the Universal title! This would let Cena break the record but also go back to Hollywood without any title obligations.

All Bask in His Glory

You’ve probably seen me say endless time on Twitter that I want Keith Lee back. The man is so talented and has so much potential too. It sucked to see him disappear earlier in the year with no explanation why. When Lashley had a mysterious challenger, I actually thought it would be Braun Strowman. A day or so prior there was rumors he was returning due to his merch going on sale again so I figured that was the most likely person.

Now when the music dropped it was a bit hard to tell at first but when I seen the green lights I instantly got excited, KEITH LEE IS BACK!! I will admit he did appear to have a bit of ring rust but it’s understandable considering how long he’s been out. I was disappointed too they didn’t let him cut a promo or go on Raw Talk so we can hear from him. I also feel if he had won that match it would have been huge and made it a Raw to remember.

Big Signings

Now this isn’t confirmed or facts yet but apparently AEW has not only signed Daniel Bryan but also CM Punk which would be HUGE if true. In all honestly neither were my all time favorites but I would actually start watching AEW if they were on it.

Personally I believe DB signing but I’m still not fully sold on CM Punk. I wouldn’t be surprised if this news leaking was his bargaining chip to see if WWE would offer him something better. These supposed leaks do say it’s a done deal with AEW though so I guess we’ll find out soon enough. I can guarantee though that there will be a lot of unhappy people if the All Out in Chicago comes and goes and he’s not there!
